Chris Rowland is an immensely powerful front row player at home at either Hooker or Prop. He has played over 30 times for England at various levels which included an IRB U21 World Cup. At only 25 years of age Chris can still reach the very highest levels in the game. Previous clubs include Bristol, Worcester and Northampton. After a break from the professional game to gain college qualifications he returned to play at Stourbridge and played in the FIRA Tournament for England Counties during September 2007 in France which ran alongside the RWC. He added to his reputation by producing good performances against Russia, Spain and France Amateurs. Chris re-signed for Stourbridge RFC for the 2008-2009 season. During the summer of 2009 Chris toured Japan and Korea with England Counties and then opted to sign for Newbury Blues to work under Ben Sturnham during 2009 -2010. 
 
Chris has had a very successful 2009 - 2010 season and we feel that he is ready to step  into the Championship and compete at this level with equal success. He would also like to experience playing in Europe.
