Steve Pape is a talented lock who at 25 years old established himself with the Cornish All Blacks as a very committed forward who carries the ball well and is physical in defence. He is a front of the line jumper who secures his own ball and attacks the opposition making life very difficult. Steve is an individual who would fit into any professional outfit always a consistent performer who relishes the physical battle and hailing from Taunton in typical West Country fashion he does not take a step back. He was rewarded for a very good 2007-2008 season with selection for England Counties in 2008. He excelled on the tour to the USA and Canada and played in every match including the fixture against Canada 'A' due to his physicality around the pitch,not surprising for someone who has represented GB as a Judo International on 18 occasions!
MC Sports can announce that Steve has signed with Newbury Blues for the 2009 - 2010 season.
