Daniel Ianus is a very exciting talent who is looking to explore playing opportunities in Europe. At 23 years old he is a full Romanian International having broken into the Romanian side for two internationals in 2009 against Spain and Russia. He is currently playing for Steaua Bucharest and appeared in the European Challenge Cup in 2009-2010 against Parma and Bourgoin. He is a former age group player for his country and appeared at the U19 World Cup in 2006 and the European Championships in 2008 where he captained the side on both occasions. In addition to this he was the Romanian Most Promising Player of the Year in 2008. He is a powerful ball carrying back row player who will progress over the next couple of years and will be a permanent feature in the Romanian side. He is a member of the Romanian 7’s squad due to his athleticism and ball handling ability.
