Dewey Swartbooi is widely recognised as one of the best defenders in South African Rugby. However he is a devastating attacking player who was widely tipped to earn full Springbok honours until a shoulder injury in 2005 halted his recognition. Fully recovered and with four years of injury free Currie Cup Rugby behind him Dewey wants to explore options overseas in Europe. He will be an exciting acquisition for any professional club. A very well conditioned professional player Dewey is open to all offers. We feel that at approaching 28 years old he is moving into his prime and will bring experience, exciting attacking options and defence that is in the top bracket of World Rugby.
Dewey was a key member of the South Africa side that won the 2002 U21 World Cup.
