MC Sports are delighted to add to their stable of players the emerging Samoan star Esera Lauina. Esera has broken into the Samoan National Squad and is now considered as a permanent fixture. He appeared in all the Samoan games at the Pacific Nations Cup in 2008 and 2009 and has been a key player during their World Cup qualifying campaign.
Esera has electric pace, power, strong defence and good hands. Everything that is required for a full and successful international career. In addition to this the individual is a very likeable young man and as with most islanders seeks strength from his religious convictions. He is very committed to his Rugby career and any club fortunate enough to sign Esera will be recruiting a player who has all the ingredients to be a true world class star.

This very talented player signed for Taranaki to play in the Air New Zealand Cup in 2009 and has opted to play in Europe for the 2010-2011 season with top Spanish side Cetransa El Salvador. The experience of playing in Europe and moving from Samoa will help develop Esera both as a player and as a person. Playing in Spain and competing in the Amlin European Challenge Cup is an ideal environment for this young player for his first venture away from his homeland.
