MC Sports are delighted to add to their stable of players the emerging Samoan star Esera Lauina. Esera has broken into the Samoan National Squad and is now considered as a permanent fixture. He appeared in all the Samoan games at the Pacific Nations Cup in 2008 and the test against the All Blacks. He has appeared in the last 10 games for Samoa eight of which have been full Internationals. In addition to this he played in a shadow international against Romania in Samoa.
Esera has electric pace, power, strong defence and good hands. Everything that is required for a full and successful international career. In addition to this the individual is a very likeable young man and as with most islanders seeks strength from his religious convictions. He is very committed to his Rugby career and any club fortunate enough to sign Esera will be recruiting a player who has all the ingredients to be a true world class star.

This very talented player has signed for Taranaki to play in the Air New Zealand Cup until October 2009.
