Having come through the famous Colstons School Rugby Academy Gareth is a No10 who is not afraid to take the opposition on, he has the ability to play flat and back his skills under pressure.He can pass both accurately and effectively off both hands, he also has an accurate left foot. Gareth’s decision making is such he is able to make decisions late when the opposition defensive system changes.Gareth has good tackle technique and is a courageous defender who has the ability to stop loose forwards carrying the ball in channel one. He is a very competent kicker who would compliment any professional squad.

Gareth signed a full professional contract with Spanish Premiership Club VRAC for the 2009 -2010 season. He had an outstanding season in Spain and emerged as the leading points scorer in the country, scoring 221 points in 18 league games. He guided his club VRAC to the final of the Copa Del Rey (Kings Cup) for the first time in 10 years. In the final he was a key player as VRAC won the Kings Cup and was widely regarded as one of the leading players in Spain. He followed this up by guiding VRAC to a Super Cup triumph and returned to VRAC for the 2010-2011. He again emerged as one of the leading points scorers.
After two season with VRAC Gareth has switched to play his Rugby in Italy with Super 10 side Rugby Reggio. He is excited about the prospect of playing in a very competitive league and will be closely monitored by Celtic League side Aironi who will have a call on his services
