Glen Townson is a very hard working mobile Lock. He was contracted with Sale Sharks over the last couple of seasons and has been playing on loan with Sedgley Tigers RFC. During his time with Sedgley he has built himself a reputation as an up and coming player. Still only 22 years old Glen is a very good lineout jumper and is a physical athletic presence around the pitch. Having appeared on numerous occasions for Sale in the Guinness ‘A’ League the player is looking to explore options in the UK. He graduated from Manchester University in the summer of 2009 with a Masters Degree in Chemistry and due to the intensity of the course and commitments with Sale Sharks he decided early on not to play Student Rugby. This former England U18 Captain wants to concentrate on his Rugby career for the foreseeable future. MC Sports are in no doubt that this young English Second Row will play at the highest levels. At some stage he would like to experience playing in Europe.
Latest News - MC Sports have negotiated the movement of young Second Row Glen Townson to Doncaster Knights for the 2009 - 2010 season. We are sure that Glenn will be a major factor in continuing Doncaster's success.
