MC Sports would like to introduce their latest client. Springbok forward Hilton Lobberts remains one of the most dominating physical enforces in South African rugby - powerful, physical and extremely talented, the former Bulls star is still in the prime of his career.
Lobberts established himself as a top-flight player with the Bulls, at both Currie Cup and Super 14 levels, before earning his first Springbok cap in 2006 and followed this up with his second appearance for the Boks in 2007. He then moved to the Stormers to continue playing Super 14 Rugby.
Hilton started his career as a powerful loose forward but he is equally comfortable in the second row, having played there for both the Bulls and the Stormers during his career and more recently for his current club Western Province.
In South Africa he is regularly compared due to his playing style to All Black legend Jerry Collins, Hilton’s physical presence makes him a threat to any defence. Currently contracted to Western Province he has been a star performer for them in the Currie Cup.
Hilton burst on to the South African Rugby scene in 2004, when he represented South Africa at Under-19 level, and quickly developed into a top quality player. In 2006 he was nominated for the South African Young Player of the Year award. As stated he has gone on to represent South Africa U21 at the IRB Rugby World Cup, the Emerging Springboks at the IRB Nations Cup and has played in two full tests for the Springboks.
14 July 2011 - Hilton Lobberts, who made his Springbok debut at the age of 20 in 2006, has landed a starting berth in Western Province's Currie Cup team to play Griquas at Newlands on Saturday.
The bruising player is better known as a loose forward and his career has been dogged by injury, but Western Province Coach Allister Coetzee said after he named his team on Thursday that Lobberts would lock the Province scrum alongside De Kock Steenkamp.

"He's an abrasive player, a great defender and an excellent ball carrier," said Coetzee.

"He's had a good campaign in the Vodacom Cup competition and he's really fit now. He's overcome all his injuries.

"He's experienced and knows what his role is all about."

We are looking for an opening for our client in Europe and he currently has no contractual obligations after September 2011.
