At 21 years James was one of the youngest Captains in the National Leagues. He is a very talented player who has got a very good sniping game allied to a first class service. He hails from Lancashire so it is no surprise that he has some physicality to his game and regularly hits hard in the tackle. A remarkable feat is that James made his debut for Wharfedale as an 18 year old and made 84 continuous appearances not missing a single minute of playing time over this period. This is a testament to his ability and conditioning.

James was involved with England Counties from 2007 until 2009 and is very well thought of in RFU circles. Able to play at the highest level we at MC Sports are delighted to announce that James has recently signed a contract with the Cornish Pirates until the summer of 2012 and is a key figure in there quest for promotion to the Premiership. We feel that James is emerging as one of the top Scrum Half’s in the Championship and he will then be looking to take the next step into one of Europe’s premier leagues.
 
Due to his ability and maturity James has recently captained Cornish Pirates during the 2011 - 2012 Championship campaign.
