Sean O’Connor has been a high quality Hooker in New Zealand for five seasons competing in the NPC and now Air New Zealand Cup. He is very mobile and physical and is compared very favourable to kiwi back row players. He scrimmages very well and has an accurate arm. These ingredients come as no surprise when you realise the quality of this player. In 2009 he was a member of the Hurricanes Super 14 squad but due to an injury to his arm which is fully recovered he missed out on game time. An explosive 2010 campaign with his home province Manawatu showed he was back to his best. Due to a very recent change in Dutch ancestry laws Sean has obtained an EU Dutch passport which opens up the UK to this player. He is committed to playing in the UK and is available 1st July 2011. He is single with no dependents.
