Steve Depledge completed a Sports Coaching Degree at Leeds Metropolitan University in the summer of 2010. He turned down a 2 year Academy contract with Bath in order to concentrate on his studies and secure himself a qualification. He is now looking to concentrate on his Rugby career. He is a quick tenacious player with a good pass off both hands and a high ability kick game. He communicates with colleagues and has a hard edge to his all round game. He is a well rounded determined individual who works hard at all aspects of his game. He is an individual that Coaches like to work with as he supports colleagues and has an eagerness to develop.
He has appeared on many occasions for both Bath and Leeds at ‘A’ level making his debut as an 18 year old.
Steve played the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 season with Otley. He was named Otley Player of the Year for 2010.
After two seasons with Otley Steve has signed with National 1 side Fylde.
