Tashrique hails from Port Elizabeth and graduated from Nelson Mandela University in 2008 with a Degree in Marketing and Finance. He is known in South Africa for his strong scrummaging and powerful ball carrying. He has excellent hands and is a physical player who leads from the front. He has captained his university, club side and other representative sides. Tashrique has an Afrikaan desire to win and is an athletic modern prop that competes at the breakdown with the best of back rows. The player has represented South Africa at Student level and has played Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup Rugby for Eastern Province the Mighty Elephants. He wants to carve out a professional career in the Northern Hemisphere. Tashrique is a genuine high class Tight Head Prop who can also play Loose Head.
